TTip: Vital signs in kids
How useful are heart rate and respiratory rate for assessing how sick a child is? We have various guides and tools that use these to strongly advocate for certain treatment protocols. But it is more important to be aware of the wide range of normals across the age ranges.

Teaching tip: download the graphs from this article and save on your phone for future reference. It is much more helpful to know where your kid lies on the centiles, than just relying on simple rules (e.g. from PALS).
